A priest and a rabbi were sitting in adjacent seats on an airplane. The priest turns to the rabbi and asks, “Is it still a requirement of your faith that you not eat pork?”
The rabbi replies, "Yes, that is one of our laws."
The priest then asks, "Have you ever eaten pork?"
“Well, yes, father on one occasion I did succumb to temptation and ate a bacon sandwich.”
The priest nods and goes on with his reading.
A while later the rabbi asks, "Father, is it still a requirement of your church that you remain celibate?"
The priest replies, “Yes, Rabbi, that is still very much a part of our faith.”
The rabbi then asks, "Father, have you ever fallen to the temptations of the flesh?"
The priest replies, “Well, yes, Rabbi, I’m sorry to say that on one occasion I was weak and broke the pledge of my faith.”
The rabbi nods. He is silent for several minutes. Finally, he says, “Beats a bacon sandwich doesn’t it?”
