38 years ago...... on August 16, 1977

August 16th, 1977, we were in Las Vegas. We hoped that Elvis would

be performing at the time we were there. It would have been great if

we could have got tickets to see him perform.

 

Later that day, while in our hotel room, we learned that he had died

at Graceland.

The closest that I had come to Elvis was when I dressed up as
The King at a Halloween party at work and when we visited

Graceland in 1987.
